Senior Budget Analyst
TREASURY DEPARTMENT
The position is responsible for the review and analysis of all budgeting and financial planning submissions of Ministries/Portfolios/Offices, Statutory Authorities, Government Companies and Non-Government Output Suppliers and the preparation of the Government multi-year budget.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Applicants must possess:-
- A professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, CPFA, or ACCA and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least 8-10 years experience - (four years focusing on financial analysis);
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and capable of managing multiple and large amounts of data sources;
- Strong attention to detail, self-directed, organised and efficient at time management, and the ability to work well under pressure;
- Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint;
- Experience with Oracle Financials is desirable;
- Able to communicate effectively and make presentation of reports orally and in writing;
- A good understanding of the Public Management and Finance Law (PMFL) and the Financial Regulations;
- Knowledge of output budgeting and experience with financial and/or economic analysis techniques would be desirable.
