The CI Government invites applications for the following position in the Cabinet Office Portfolio

Assistant Channels Marketer

The Assistant Channels Marketer is a member of the Cabinet Office, reporting to the Channel Development Manager. The post holder will assist in the implementation of the Channel Strategy and Roadmap and to produce social-first video content & other related content to drive better public engagement with government news, campaigns, information and services.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the implementation of the Channel Strategy and Roadmap
  • Executing a channel marketing programme to drive awareness and adoption of channels
  • Identifying storytelling opportunities and produce captivating social-first video content & other related content across a broad range of creative projects and campaigns under the stewardship of the Strategic Communications Unit
  • Producing and write news in the absence of the CIGTV News Director
  • Assisting with CIGTV programming and perform the day-to-day community management tasks and monitoring of CIGTV YouTube
  • Presenting CIGTV news as needed


  • Undergraduate degree (Marketing, Communications or Film & Multimedia preferred)


The post holder will be an entry level channels marketer. The post holder will have a strong interest in different subject areas from news, finance, education, community, sports, lifestyle, and entertainment so as to optimise and program content effectively. He/she will have:

  • Some experience working in marketing and/or digital video presenting.
  • The ability to interpret and make recommendations about social media and audience data.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and oral.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects so as to meet deadlines independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Video presenting ability preferred or strong interest in gaining these skills.
